The terms and conditions governing our construction products and services.

1. General
These Terms of Sale ("Terms") govern all purchases of products and services from Japan Gedara, located at 115/1, Borella RD, Depanama, Pannipitiya 10230, Sri Lanka. By placing an order or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Products & Services
Japan Gedara offers construction products and services including, but not limited to: wall panels, roofing solutions, ceilings, flooring, house construction, cabanas, commercial buildings, partitions, doors & windows, pantry cupboards, pre-fabricated units, powder coating, and gates. All product descriptions, images, and specifications on our website are provided for informational purposes. Actual products may vary slightly in colour, texture, or dimensions due to manufacturing processes.
3. Quotations & Pricing
- All prices are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless a different validity period is specified.
- Prices are subject to change based on material costs, project scope, and market conditions. Any price change will be communicated before work commences.
- Quotations do not include government taxes, permits, or fees unless explicitly stated.
4. Orders & Confirmation
An order is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed agreement or written acceptance (including email) and the agreed advance payment. Japan Gedara reserves the right to decline any order at its discretion.
5. Payment Terms
- The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project or delivery of products, unless a milestone-based payment schedule has been agreed.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, cheque, or cash. Payment details will be provided on the invoice.
6. Delivery & Installation
- Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on material availability, weather, site conditions, and project complexity.
- Japan Gedara will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines but shall not be liable for delays beyond our control.
- The client is responsible for ensuring site readiness and access for delivery and installation.
- Risk of loss or damage to products passes to the client upon delivery to the designated site.
7. Warranty
- All products and workmanship are covered by the warranty period specified in the project agreement or product documentation.
- Warranties do not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligence, unauthorised modifications, natural disasters, or normal wear and tear.
- Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within the warranty period. Japan Gedara will inspect the reported issue and, at its discretion, repair, replace, or provide credit for defective products or workmanship.
8. Cancellation & Refunds
- Orders may be cancelled before production or work has commenced. The advance payment will be refunded minus a 10% administration fee.
- Once production or on-site work has begun, cancellations are subject to charges covering materials used, labour performed, and any third-party costs incurred.
- Custom-made or special-order products are non-refundable once production has started.
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, Japan Gedara shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific product or service in question.
10. Force Majeure
Japan Gedara shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, supply-chain disruptions, or civil unrest.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If no resolution is reached, disputes shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act No. 11 of 1995 of Sri Lanka.
12. Changes to These Terms
Japan Gedara reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued engagement with our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
